Chicago River by Night

A night shot of the Chicago River showing the Trump Tower and Wrigley Building.

This was an interesting bracket to shoot It was shot from the centre of a swing bridge that vibrated horribly every time a vehicle crossed it. Each exposure was preceded by a delay while we waited for the road to be clear for the required period of time!

Solid composition, and great mood with no wide angle distortion at all. Too bad you couldn’t do a longer exposure due to that vibrating bridge, though. Nonetheless, I love it.

Thanks, Rich. This was shot with the almost-legendary Nikon 14-24mm which explains the lack of distortion. I’m pretty sure I didn’t have to do anything geometric to this shot in post but, if I did, it would only have been minor perspective correction.
