Hanging on for Dear Life, Rodeo Austin

A rodeo rider hangs on tightly as he is thrown around by his horse during the Austin Rodeo.

I’m posting this in honour of Canadian buddy Heath O’Fee who mentioned yesterday that it’s time for the Calgary Stampede. The central Texas rodeo season appears to be over but I guess they have to wait a bit later in the year to get things underway up in the Great White North 🙂

I did not realize that pro rodeo cowboys were turning into billboards like stock cars! I guess they need to get paid too! Great action shot Dave, just like the rest of your images posted from the rodeo! Well done!

Awesome capture, Dave! I’ve never been close enough when at the rodeo to see the rider’s faces…but this is kinda how I imagined it 😉 Thanks for the mention, too!
