Cal Crutchlow, Monster Yamaha Tech 3

I’m about two thirds of the way through editing the images from Saturday’s visit to Circuit of the Americas to see practice and qualification for yesterday’s MotoGP Red Bull Grand Prix of the Americas. So far, I have found a dozen images that meet my sharpness goal. With panning shots, I find it rather difficult to get a truly sharp image of the target so I need to take many exposures at high frame rate to get a few really good ones. This is my favourite so far. It shows British rider Cal Crutchlow who finished the race 4th. The race was won by Marc Marquez of Repsol Honda Team, a picture of whom I posted yesterday.

Excellent shots from this MotoGP event. Missed it on the TV here in the UK,watched FI from Bahrain – some very tight racing for once.

Thanks, Andy. I still have to watch the Bahrain GP. My youngest helpfully erased the recording I made on Sunday morning so I had to re-record on Sunday night, by which time I had missed the 2 hour viewing window I had set aside on Sunday afternoon. Maybe tonight….?
