Window at Wildwood Stables, Acadia National Park

This picture represents day 3 in my 5 Day Black and White challenge from James Howe. We stopped by Wildwood Stables in Acadia National Park hoping to find some horse-drawn carriages to photograph but, given that we had just finished our sunrise shoot and it was only about 8:30am, none of the horses were out yet. Instead, we spent some time taking pictures of the buildings where the morning side lighting was creating some wonderful textures.

For the technically inclined...

  • Aperture: ƒ/11
  • Camera: NIKON D700
  • Focal length: 85mm
  • ISO: 560
  • Shutter speed: 1/1500s
