Sts. Cyril and Methodius Church in Dubina, Texas is one of the famous “Painted Churches” found around the Schulenberg and Shiner area about 90 minutes or so east of Austin. I spent a fun day shooting there with John Rogers back in the spring during which we visited three of the churches and took the tour of the Spoetzl Brewery in Shiner (home of Austin’s staple beer, Shiner Bock). There are plenty more churches available for us to visit so I expect we’ll be back again to shoot the rest at some point.
