Boulders at Otter Cliffs

The beach beside Otter Cliffs in Acadia National Park, Maine, is covered in large boulders which made setting up a tripod a bit tricky. On the plus side, there wasn’t too much problem finding a good place to sit as we waited for the sun to come up (and watched the tide rise around our tripod feet as it did so).

If you want to see some more images from our NxNW 2014 photoblogger get-together, Scott Wyden Kivowitz has put together an eBook containing some of our favourites and it’s available for free from his web site.

For the technically inclined...

  • Aperture: ƒ/16
  • Camera: NIKON D700
  • Exposure bias: -1EV
  • Focal length: 36mm
  • ISO: 200
  • Shutter speed: 1/6s
