Texas State Capitol

This postcard shot of the Texas State Capitol was taken from a vantage point that I seldom get to – the outside terrace on the top of the building on Congress Avenue which houses the offices of Texas Monthly magazine. During the annual Texas Book Festival last year, these offices were used as the authors’ green room so, given that Nikki was speaking, I got to visit. Some day, I’ll get up there at dusk with a tripod 🙂

For the technically inclined...

  • Aperture: ƒ/9.5
  • Camera: NIKON D810
  • Focal length: 70mm
  • ISO: 200
  • Shutter speed: 1/500s
