On the final day of FRC competition, team 6537 took a break to visit Space Center Houston. It had been at least 6 years since I was last there and I was keen to spend some time at the new Space Shuttle and Shuttle Carrier Aircraft exhibit. I saw this SCA flying over Austin back in 2012 (you can see it here) and it’s now parked right outside the visitor building at Space Center Houston with a mock-up shuttle named “Independence” mounted on it. I was pleased to find that visitor access is very good and that you can walk under and around the whole aircraft.
For the technically inclined...
Very cool Dave, that would be a treat to see, well done
