The columns on the General Post Office building on 34th Street in New York are fabulous. I posted an image over on Flickr yesterday showing the same building and concentrating on the columns but the inscription along the building was also rather interesting so this somewhat more abstract view is intended to show that off. It reads “Neither Snow Nor Rain Nor Heat Nor Gloom of Night Stays These Couriers From The Swift Completion of Their Appointed Rounds.”
