I mentioned yesterday that I had spent a wonderful time down at Dick’s Classic Garage on Saturday morning. Here’s the first image I’ve processed from the visit – a 1948 Tucker. You will be seeing many more shots from the museum over the coming weeks since I essentially had the place to myself for 4 hours (everyone else in Central Texas was obviously out Christmas shopping).
The museum is about 2 years old and hosts somewhere around 50 pristine classic American cars. Most are from the 1930s to 1950s – a superb collection of wonderfully curvey, chromey machines. If you are even vaguely interested in automobile history, I can strongly recommend a visit to this museum.
By the way, I need to thank Van Sutherland for introducing me to the place via one of his blog posts a couple of months ago. Thanks, Van!
Looks like a face smiling at you! Love that color and the shine! Nice work Dave!

How very cool! I may have to get down that way to check it out! I have never seen a Tucker.

Great framing on this shot, Dave.

They don’t make them like that anymore! Tight crop works so well. And yes, I’m with Jim – that car definitely has a smile on it’s face. Great image
