Our flight home from Hawaii left Maui at 9:30pm so we had a whole day to fill while wearing our traveling clothes and with a car full of suitcases. This didn't prove a problem, though, since we spent most of it in the Maui Ocean Center in Ma'alaea. This rather excellent aquarium features a huge tank with a transparent, walk-through tunnel that lets you look at sharks and other large animals as they swim all around you. It's definitely a worthwhile experience but, as with pretty much everything in Hawaii, be prepared for sticker shock when you get to the ticket booth.
