I hadn’t planned on posting this quite so soon after yesterday’s image but I was badgered by enough people on Twitter that I pulled it forward. This was shot from the same position as the night shot from yesterday but using the fisheye lens instead of the rectilinear wide-angle. I deliberately tilted the camera downwards to capture as much of the street below as possible while keeping the top of the Empire State Building in the frame.
The picture was created from multiple exposures blended using Photomatix Pro’s “Exposure Fusion” feature. This gives me similar results to those achieved using layer blending in Photoshop but is very much quicker.
Great shot…and exposure fusion is much more efficient.
