Leon Coffee, originally from Blanco, is a well-loved member of the Dripping Springs rodeo show where his clowning is greatly appreciated by us all. Everyone knows Leon locally but I was interested to discover that he’s a bit of a superstar in wider rodeo circles too. He’s a 40+ year veteran of the sport as a rider, bullfighter and clown, and has traveled the country working in rodeos all the way up to National Finals Rodeo. He’s also a member of both the Texas Rodeo Cowboy Hall of Fame and the National Multicultural Western Heritage Hall of Fame.
