Lamar Bridge at Sunset

This is another shot from my photowalk in downtown Austin a couple of weeks back. We reached the Pfluger Pedestrian Bridge just after sunset and I took this shot looking back towards the older Lamar Bridge right as a stand-up paddleboarder was heading under the central span.

That night (as you may have noticed from the EXIF), I was using my new (well, actually, used but new to me) Olympus OM-D E-M5 mark II and this was one of the images I used to try out its in-body image stabilization. For me, getting a completely sharp image at a shutter speed of 1/13th with a 35mm equivalent focal length of 56mm is pretty good and I got down to almost half a second without seeing camera shake problems. I really like this camera.

For the technically inclined...

  • Aperture: ƒ/6.3
  • Camera: E-M5MarkII
  • Exposure bias: -1.7EV
  • Focal length: 28mm
  • ISO: 800
  • Shutter speed: 1/13s
