The Waters Hotel, Hot Springs

I mentioned yesterday that Hot Springs, Arkansas contained quite a few either derelict, demolished or poorly maintained hotel buildings. One that bucks the trend, though, is The Waters on Bathhouse Row. This 1913 building started life as a medical facility but, by 2014 it was partially derelict and had fallen into disrepair. Seeing the potential of the building, however, two local architects purchased it and, after a $7 million renovation, turned it into the marvelous hotel that it is today.

We had the pleasure of staying here during our visit to Hot Springs last week and found it very comfortable and friendly.
