Finnieston Titan

The Finnieston Titan is one of a few remaining giant cranes on the banks of the River Clyde in Glasgow. These cranes serviced the many shipbuilders and heavy engineering businesses that once flourished on the banks of the Clyde. This particular crane can be found next to the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre. It was built between 1926 and 1931, and was used to load steam locomotives onto waiting ships.
