Teton Reflection

More reflections today. This is an image I processed last weekend from a collection of frames shot during our 2016 NxNW trip to Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming. This location, Taggart Lake, was the highlight of the trip for me.

We left Jackson Hole at around 4:00am to be sure that we would complete the hike to the lake just before sunrise. The water’s surface was glassy calm when we arrived and it stayed that way until the sun hit the far shore. As we packed up to leave, the wind was picking up just enough to spoil the reflections but we had had an hour of the most spectacular views you can imagine by then.

For the technically inclined...

  • Aperture: ƒ/13
  • Camera: NIKON D810
  • Exposure bias: -2EV
  • Focal length: 28mm
  • ISO: 64
  • Shutter speed: 1/8s
