Red Black and Yellow Crab Spider

This will be the last of the macro pictures for a few days though I suspect I’ll be back at the flower field some time in the next week to take more. We caught another critter having breakfast last Saturday. Here’s a cornflower hosting a Black Red and Yellow Crab Spider (whose Latin name I couldn’t find and whose identification is slightly suspect) making a meal of a Spotted Cucumber Beetle (Diabrotica undecimpunctata howardi).

For the technically inclined...

  • Aperture: ƒ/8
  • Camera: E-M1MarkII
  • Exposure bias: -5/10EV
  • Focal length: 115mm
  • ISO: 640
  • Shutter speed: 1/250s
