Four-Spotted Palpita Moth

A Four-Spotted Palpita Moth (Palpita quadristigmalis) seen on an Indian Blanket near Dripping Springs, Texas on April 28th, 2020.

Edit: Thanks to Chuck Sexton for correcting my identification. I had originally identified this as an Orange Shouldered Sherbet Moth, hence the fact that the URL to this page no longer matches the title.

For the technically inclined...

  • Aperture: ƒ/2.8
  • Camera: E-M1MarkII
  • Focal length: 150mm
  • ISO: 800
  • Shutter speed: 1/3000s
