Pandemic Coiffure

While I enjoy portraiture, I generally avoid self-portraits like the plague. Last weekend, however, I was wanting to play with some lighting techniques and had no-one around willing to be a model so I had little choice but to sit for myself. By coincidence, my NxNW buddy Scott Wyden Kivowitz was having similar thoughts and challenged his blog’s readers to post a self-portrait so this gave me an excuse to post one of my pics.

Here you see me, almost 4 months since my last haircut and 10 weeks into growing my coronabeard. I’ll likely redo this shot after a haircut and beard trim to let folks know that I’ve not completely let go as far as personal grooming is concerned.

For the technically inclined...

  • Aperture: ƒ/22
  • Camera: E-M1MarkII
  • Focal length: 95mm
  • ISO: 100
  • Shutter speed: 1/250s
