Austin Skyline at Dusk

The skyline of Austin, Texas seen from the Pfluger Pedestrian Bridge over Lady Bird Lake at dusk, July 2019.

I took this shortly after buying a second-hand Olympus OM-D E-M5 mk II last summer when I met a couple of friends and hung around the Seaholm area trying the camera out. This was one of a series of shots I took to see how good the image stabilization is. The shutter speed here was only 1/5s so, with a wide angle lens, it wasn’t pushing the system too hard but, overall, I was enormously impressed at how sharp low shutter speed images were.

For the technically inclined...

  • Aperture: ƒ/5
  • Camera: E-M5MarkII
  • Focal length: 14mm
  • ISO: 800
  • Shutter speed: 1/5s
