Capitol Peak in Infra-Red

I suppose I’m cheating somewhat since this panorama only shows the right part of Capitol Peak as viewed from fairly close to the start of the Lighthouse Trail in Palo Duro Canyon State Park. The peak of the Peak is just off the left of the frame here with Lighthouse Rock just to the left of that.

This image is a 3-frame panorama captured in infra-red then processed to give a high contrast monochrome result.

For the technically inclined...

  • Aperture: ƒ/8
  • Camera: E-M5MarkII
  • Focal length: 16mm
  • ISO: 200
  • Shutter speed: 1/250s
