Empire State Building, NYC

The Empire State Building, built between 1930 and 1931, is almost certainly Manhattan’s most recognisable skyscraper. At 1454 feet tall, it was New York’s tallest building until it was overtaken by the World Trade Center in 1970. After the collapse of the twin towers in 2001, it regained the title and held it until 2012. As of 2020, it was the 7th tallest building in New York.

For the technically inclined...

  • Aperture: ƒ/8
  • Camera: NIKON D90
  • Focal length: 62mm
  • ISO: 400
  • Shutter speed: 1/500s
