View From The Top

I’m keeping the Empire State Building in the frame today with this image taken from the viewing deck at the Rockefeller Center’s “Top of the Rock”. We timed the visit to be there at sunset and remember this being a pretty cold and grey November evening as illustrated here. Thankfully, the sun did poke it’s way through a hole in the clouds as it set a few minutes later giving some nice colour for a few other skyline pictures I took before heading off to find hot chocolate.

For the technically inclined...

  • Aperture: ƒ/5
  • Camera: NIKON D90
  • Focal length: 35mm
  • ISO: 400
  • Shutter speed: 1/5s
