Seaholm Development

This aerial view of the west side of Austin’s downtown was taken 30 minutes or so prior to yesterday’s image. It shows development around the Seaholm Power Plant in an area of the city that I reckon has changed the fastest over the last couple of decades. On the left, new residential blocks have appeared around 6th and Lamar which also hosts the world headquarters of Wholefoods Market. The redeveloped art deco Seaholm Power Plant sits in the centre of the image alongside the new Austin Central Library with The Independent, currently Austin’s tallest building, behind. On the right, still under construction, is the new Google building.

For the technically inclined...

  • Aperture: ƒ/2.8
  • Camera: FC2103
  • Focal length: 4.5mm
  • ISO: 100
  • Shutter speed: 1/4s
