The Independent, Austin

At 694 feet, The Independent is currently the tallest building in Austin. Its 58 floors contain 370 residential condos, a fitness center, yoga deck, outdoor lounge, playground, swimming pool and a dog park. Recent news reports have outlined plans for the city’s first 1000 foot tower so it’s not clear how long The Independent will hold on to its title.

For the technically inclined...

  • Aperture: ƒ/5.6
  • Camera: E-M1MarkII
  • Focal length: 35mm
