Black Spire

One of the more weird and wonderful locations we visited this past week was a black spire that can be found at the end of a mile’s hike over the desert just outside Hanksville. It sits in the center of a ring of cliffs in an arrangement that looks almost too regular to be natural and left me wondering if aliens had somehow been involved in its placement.

For the technically inclined...

  • Aperture: ƒ/9.5
  • Camera: OM-1
  • Focal length: 50mm
  • ISO: 200
  • Shutter speed: 1/90s
