Ana Paddling

When I set up senior portrait sessions, I always ask the kids to bring along some props that are meaningful to them. This usually involves pets or musical instruments but, last Sunday, Ana really pushed the boat out (pun intended) by turning up with a stand-up paddle board and her prom dress. We ended a fantastic evening with her floating along Onion Creek in Dripping Springs while I captured the action with a long lens and her brother, holding a strobe, kept pace along the river bank.

For the technically inclined...

  • Aperture: ƒ/2.8
  • Camera: OM-1
  • Focal length: 130mm
  • ISO: 800
  • Shutter speed: 1/250s
