Quentin and Horn

Quentin Dollard with his euphonium on May 1st, 2023. Quentin is the third euphonium player I’ve photographed and used this composition with. Unlike trumpets and tubas, the pipework of the euphonium is sized perfectly to fit a set of eyes inside the top loop.

For the technically inclined...

  • Aperture: ƒ/13
  • Camera: OM-1
  • Focal length: 85mm
  • ISO: 200
  • Shutter speed: 1/90s
