Starlink 6-45

SpaceX managed to launch 2 Falcon 9s from Cape Canaveral within 4 hours of each other last Saturday and we managed to catch both launches. Here’s Starlink mission 6-45 launching from Launch Complex 40 at about 9:30pm on Saturday, March 30th, 2024. I almost missed this photo since I expected (assumed) that the launch trajectory would be more to the north (leftwards in this framing) based on another images I had seen taken from the same location (Marina Park in Titusville). When the rocket headed upwards and to the right, I was left with half the frame empty. Thankfully, I managed to crop the image into submission, resulting in this frame.

For the technically inclined...

  • Aperture: ƒ/11
  • Camera: OM-1
  • Focal length: 7mm
  • ISO: 200
  • Shutter speed: 171s
