Apparently Oceanwide Expeditions have installed StarLink on their boats and, as a result, are now offering limited, free internet to guests for the duration of their voyage! Despite yesterday’s sign-off, I may actually be able to continue posting on and off while we’re sailing around the Southern Ocean. Here’s an image of a Black-browed Albatross (Thalassarche melanophrys), also known as a Black-browed Mollymawk, that was one of many pelagic seabirds following the boat when we went out on deck this morning. Today is a sea day but we’ll be visiting the Falkland Islands tomorrow so we’re looking forward to our first penguin encounter of the trip.
