FIFI I

Back in October 2021, I was fortunate enough to have an opportunity to ride in “FIFI”, one of the world’s only two remaining airworthy Boeing B-29 Superfortresses. The B-29 was developed during the second world war as a state-of-the-art, high altitude bomber and the project took a top three position in the list of most expensive Allied development projects of the war, the other two being development of the Norden bomb sight used in the bomber, and the Manhattan Project to develop the atomic bomb.

For the technically inclined...

  • Aperture: ƒ/11
  • Camera: E-M1MarkII
  • Focal length: 41mm
  • ISO: 200
  • Shutter speed: 1/250s
