Austin from Barton Springs

A portion of the Austin, Texas skyline seen with the Seaholm development and Austin Central Library in the foreground. I took this with the mid-telephoto lens on the Mavic 4 Pro from a position above Lady Bird Lake near Barton Springs. Of the three cameras on the new drone, I think I’m going to find myself using this one very frequently. The level of perspective compression offered by the 70mm equivalent is perfect for this kind of shot and it also allows me to make wide panoramas without the curvature effects introduced by using the wide angle lens.

For the technically inclined...

  • Aperture: ƒ/2.8
  • Camera: FC9284
  • Exposure bias: -1.3EV
  • Focal length: 19.35mm
  • ISO: 160
  • Shutter speed: 1/320s
