Victorian Grandmother

Captioning this back in the UK would be straightforward because the costumes worn by this grandmother and her two granddaughters at last weekend’s Pioneer Day are obviously “Victorian”. Whether it’s kosher to use an era reference based on a British monarch when describing 19th century Texas, though, I’m not sure. Regardless, the grandmother in this photo had sewn her own beautiful costume for the event and also made both the dresses worn by her granddaughters.

For the technically inclined...

  • Aperture: ƒ/5.6
  • Camera: NIKON D810
  • Exposure bias: +1EV
  • Focal length: 32mm
  • ISO: 200
  • Shutter speed: 1/250s
