Continuing the rodeo theme, here’s another shot from Austin Rodeo back in March.
From a photography point of view, bull riding was one of the easier competitions to shoot since the action tends to stay in a pretty confined area close to the gates at one end of the arena. The bulls spin around, however, so getting a clear shot including the rider’s face can be tricky.
Wow, this frame really shows the emotion of both the bull and the rider, and the stress they both are under! Great shot!
