Trick Rider, Blanco County Rodeo

A trick rider performs during the Blanco County Rodeo in Johnson City, Texas on Saturday, August 17th, 2019.

Did I mention how dark the Johnson City arena was? I complain about the lighting in Dripping Springs but my exposures in Johnson City were 3.5 to 4 stops lower so a lot of my pictures, like this one, had to rely on panning because my shutter speeds were so slow.

For the technically inclined...

  • Aperture: ƒ/2.8
  • Camera: NIKON D500
  • Focal length: 175mm
  • ISO: 3200
  • Shutter speed: 1/45s
