Cold Robin

This week’s posting schedule was rather disrupted by the historic winter storm that hit Texas last weekend. Things started going south for us on Sunday with rolling blackouts and single-digit (Fahrenheit) temperatures. The rolling blackouts became two solid days without power or water for us but, thankfully, things are now getting back to normal – power was restored last night and our water system has thawed today.

I didn’t take too many pictures this week but here’s a rather chilly looking American Robin (Turdus migratorius) that was perched on a frozen cedar branch close to our front door yesterday afternoon.

For the technically inclined...

  • Aperture: ƒ/9
  • Camera: E-M1MarkII
  • Focal length: 560mm
  • ISO: 1250
  • Shutter speed: 1/250s
